Brandon Thors joined The PRISM Group in October 2022 as a multi-disciplined, financial services professional with over 20 years of experience in the personal investments and residential financing businesses. Brandon started his financial career with HomeSide Lending, a Jacksonville based lender, having no prior experience with consumer financing, but having an uncanny knack for being able to instantly build rapport with his clients and convey complex financing concepts in a concise, easily understandable manner.
Prior to the financial crisis of 2008, Brandon realized that it was time to diversify his professional experience and sought out a position within the investments industry, a business family members had been a part of for generations. In 2007 Brandon obtained his FINRA Series 7 & 63 designations and accepted a position as a ‘Registered Representative’ with Fidelity Investments performing multiple roles within the firm. In 2018 Brandon elected to revisit his skills in residential financing, having accepted an early retirement option a year earlier, and recognizing an opportunity that was rapidly developing as the result of a historically low interest rate environment and a ‘red-hot’ housing market.
Brandon returns to the financial services business with a passion for helping individuals achieve their financial goals. His role is to support Bert, Alex, Sarah, and Carrie in the daily operations of the business while providing world-class service to clients of The PRISM Group.
Brandon has lived in Jacksonville for over 30 years with Katrina, his high school sweetheart and spouse of 42 years. In his off time, Brandon enjoys music (an old audiophile), golf, and tennis. He is also a ‘foodie’ known to occasionally ‘cook up a storm’ and is a complete ‘car nut’. He has a 34 year old son, Nicholas, and a ‘soon-to-be’ daughter-in-law when they tie the knot in April of next year.
